This story is almost a companion prequel to Colors Like Memories. I'm not sure exactly how soon before Colors this one takes place, but the fact that there's internet places it no more than 22 years before Colors (IF Colors took place this year).
I was a tad confused with the Ezekial character.. If I'm not mistaken, there's a Sary with the same name in Colors as well which threw me off for a bit.
This story however centers around Arianne who's assignment is to figure out exactly how much about society Thomas knows and how he knows what he does know.
After reading Colors, this one had a slow start for me. It's just as good as Color without a doubt, but if it's possible, read this one before hand since the events happen before and the rules the Sary follow are very much different in this one than in Colors.
I would honestly love to what fate befalls Ezekiah since the story sort of just ended. No climatic ending, it was just over with Ezekial being a loose end. I hope this author writes more for this series as it paints guardian angels in a way that I hadn't seen before and the tales are very much enjoyable.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws
